Michael Alanis is a 24 year old singer/songwriter from San Antonio Texas. His passion for music began in 2010 at high school at Holy Cross playing an acoustic guitar for the talent show and has developed over the past seven years to now include singing and songwriting. He learned to play by ear but eventually took guitar lessons and studied music theory.

His style can be described as soulful, funky, jazzy, bluesy, with a hint of latin flair. Some of his biggest influences have been John Mayer, George Benson, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Carlos Santana, Ray Charles and Jimmy Hendrix. His performances can be acoustic as well as a full band.

Michael currently can be seen performing at various venues around San Antonio including The J.W. Marriott Resort and Spa, The Plaza Club, The Hard Rock Café, Alamo Beer Company and many others. His performances include corporate events, non-profits, weddings and private parties. He has hosted Sunday Blues Jams for the San Antonio Blues Society and represented the San Antonio Blue Youths at Sam’s Burger Joint.
